Infrastructure
The commercial terms matter less than most desks expect. What decides the real cost of trading is where the servers sit, how the margin account is structured, and how directly you can reach the book.
Execution & Latency
Where the servers sit decides what your fills look like.

What the records say
See it live
The terminal your execution actually reaches
Latency, margin and connectivity are only real when you can see them from the platform you trade on.

The cost nobody quotes
Three costs that do not appear on a rate card
The distance to the venue
Every millisecond between your platform and the book is paid for in slippage. It is invisible on a spread comparison and entirely visible in your fill quality over a month.
Collateral you cannot move
Capital posted against one asset class and idle while another is short is a funding cost, and it is usually larger than the spread difference that prompted the arrangement.
The integration you maintain
Every additional connection is engineering time that recurs. It is a real line item, and it is the one most often left out of a provider comparison.
Where does your platform actually sit?
Most desks have never measured the round trip to their own liquidity. It is a quick test and it usually explains more than the spread does.
